Yıldız Holding Food Safety Board carries out its audits in a manner that shall cover all our food factories globally within the scope of the Regulation prepared in compliance with the policies and strategies of the company and approved by the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The purpose of these audits, which are carried out using standards and question lists prepared under the leadership of Yıldız Holding corporate principles and in accordance with international practices, is to ensure that the products we offer to our consumers meet the expectations and to ensure that our food companies progress to a certain standard and maintain organizational values.
We strive to make our many products—which we cherish like the apple of our eye and which are our pride and joy—even safer through extra precautions and inspections. These include our beloved Ece chocolates that we offer to our guests during holidays, our universally loved Ülker Chocolate Wafers, and the fresh-frozen vegetables delivered right to our homes.

Audit implementation principles
The audit team appointed by the Food Safety Board can access all facilities, auxiliary units, records, and documents of the food companies under the roof of Yıldız Holding.
The duration of the audits is determined by many variables, such as the size of the factory, the number of employees, and the number of production lines. At least 50% of this period is spent on-site, while in the remaining 50%, management systems and documents are evaluated.
The fact that the Food Safety Board audits are conducted unannounced, despite being internal, increases their effectiveness and contributes to the development of our companies. The organizational structure and authorities of our Board, approved by the Yıldız Holding Board of Directors, are designed to ensure it acts independently and takes action regarding sanctions on our food companies.
When an action plan is required from the factory as a result of the audit, this plan is prepared in accordance with our standards. This ensures that our products comply with local codex/regulations and are safe for consumers.
Suppliers of the raw materials we use are audited by the central Quality Assurance teams and by third-party audit service firms agreed upon by our companies.
